The last few summers we have been lucky enough to stay with our dear friends in Umbria, Panicale specifically, where we have a dreamy, restful week or two to decompress and find some quiet. Life has gotten so hectic at home and sometimes by June I feel like I don’t even know how to relax - so having this trip to look forward to really makes the year. When I was younger (and on my own) I never really took holidays and just wanted to go on work trips. Now I think I understand that holidays are for rest and rejuvenation at best, and also the time to take in more of what’s around you, visually see more and do some thinking.
